Kenmore Rotary has successfully partnered  with a number of businesses and not-for-profit organisations  to collect recyclable drink containers.  Funds raised will be reinvested  in the Community

This program was launched on November 11, 2018 and has been amazingly successful in the short time it has been going -thank you to the partners and community for your support and success.

WHAT CAN AND CAN'T BE RECYCLED

Most glass, plastic, aluminium, steel and paper based cartons between 150ml and 3L

As shown in the graph, our community has donated over 52,000 containers from Oct 20 to May 21 through Rotary Kenmore and Partners. Since starting this  project in November 2018 Kenmore Rotary and Partners saved  in excess of 200,000 containers from landfill. 

Please do not recycle wine bottle, juice  bottles, spirit bottles or milk containers - everything else is welcome.

HOW CAN YOU HELP

There are several ways you can help Kenmore Rotary make this  a successful Project and generate funds to support local community organisations and community  projects:

  • Drop-off's can be made to our cage containers at:

 

  • eWaste Connection - 98 Brookfield Road, Kenmore Qld 4069

  • Pullenvale Market - 8 McCaskill Road, Pullenvale Qld 4069

  • Drop-off's can also be made at the following locations to purple bins purchased by the Club with a grant from the Queensland Department of Environment and Science as part of the Queensland Government Container Refund Scheme - Small Scale Infrastructure Grants Program: 

 

  • Holy Spirit Anglican Church, Kenmore (1036 Moggill Rd);

  • St Catherine's Moggill (3356 Moggill Rd); and

  • Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Kenmore  (1 Kenmore Road)

If you are holding a private party, contact Kenmore Rotary at recycle@rotarykenmore.org and we will deliver 60L to 75L bins and pick them up the  next day
